Helping students at the school for disabled students get oriented on potential future employment, with an emphasis on IT, is one of our newest projects! With the aid of our volunteers, we instruct English classes that concentrate on the IT job market while teaching IT skills using "Scratch". Want to know more about this project? Volunteers

Volunteer teaching in Thailand ‌
‌
Our first volunteers returned after three years! We received help from Sasha, Stoyan, Gemma, Martina, Aila, Shireen, and Julian in a number of ways to organize OpenMindProjects. Think of teaching classes and helping with IT related issues. As always, we appreciate your assistance and we hope to work with you again in the future!

News from Thailand

Upcoming in Nong Khai
The yearly Naga Fireball Festival returns to Nong Khai in October! The Naga Fireball is a phenomenon in which mysterious glowing, red fireballs shoot into the sky from the Mekong River. At the conclusion of the Buddhist Lenten fast, it is said that Nagas—half humans, half serpents—light the fireballs and let them fly as a form of respect to the Buddha. This day is celebrated annually between mid-October and early November with the Fireball Festival. All the more reason to visit us at Nong Khai!

Sustainable Thailand!
At the end of September, the Sustainability Expo kicked off in Bangkok under the theme "Sufficiency for Sustainability". Speakers from all over the world came together to tackle environmental issues, including climate change.
And this isn't the only environmental news flash! Tetra Pak's innovative thinkers came up with the concept of collecting beverage cartons and recycling them to make construction materials that aid in the construction of homes for those affected by natural disasters. WOW! Check out the article here.
